RETAIL & SHOW MARKETING MANAGER

Position Summary

As the Retail & Show Marketing Manager you will be the primary point of contact for the Retail and Shows sales channel owners. You will provide marketing strategy and support for marketing and sales material needs including brochures, packaging, POS, sales tools, booth design, messaging, media recommendations and opportunistic marketing solutions. You will partner with the Household Marketing design and content teams to deliver actionable marketing campaigns and materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively lead rebranding initiatives as they pertain to Retail and Shows and specifically developing standardized sales scripts, attire/uniform recommendations and sales materials.
  • Lead effort to improve and standardize the demonstration proof points for the top Vitamix consumer segments so experience reflects the brand and best-in-class standards at Retail and through Show demonstration.
  • Work with both groups to establish success metrics to assess and improve marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Partner with Shows team to develop marketing materials and tools (signage, flyers, etc.) that meet their sales objectives.
  • Partner with Retail team to develop marketing materials and tools (signage, POS, video, etc.) that meet their sales objectives.
  • Manage marketing request process using standard Creative Brief templates and brand guidelines to execute marketing programs and campaigns for the Shows group.
  • Make recommendations for product placement and promotions for Retail and Shows based on market data, research and performance.
  • Provide marketing and content support to build Retail and Shows capabilities for the new web site as needed.
  • Collaborate with peers in Household Marketing on brand awareness advertising and marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Enforce standards for calls to action across multiple sales channels and media
  • Assess, improve and continually develop best-in-class customer experience opportunities in all marketing and branding efforts
  • Collaborate with all sales channels to resolve any sales channel conflicts on offers, promotions and lead generation
  • Manage assigned portions of the marketing budget.
  • Keep informed of marketing best practices, industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Work with internal design groups to keep branded content and copy updated in the Digital Asset Management tool to help facilitate external marketing/sales partners

Education and Experience Requirements: 4 year college degree in the area of marketing or communications, 3-5 years experience in marketing, retail sales, trade shows and/or advertising.
Computer Skills: Proficient in the following applications and systems: Microsoft Office required. Enterprise Email Delivery systems (Exact Target), web content management systems, MS Project, MS SharePoint, Omniture experience is a plus.
