All of our blenders use a ≈2 peak HP. Unlike some higher

of ice in 3 seconds.

All stainless steel enclosed blade assembly with sealed ball bearings, metal to metal drive coupling for high speed production and a thermally protected motor prevents burnout by temporarily shutting down. Our patented designed polycarbonate container is virtually unbreakable.
How quiet is it?
Noise from a blender is something Vita-Mix engineers are continually battling. It’s hard to put a number on the noise level, as the environment the blender is in has a lot to do with the audible sound to the human ear. Vita-Mix consistently rates below the sound of normal conversation, which means you never have to raise your voice to talk over this blender! We are so dedicated to making the quietest blender, that we went out and hired a former NASA sound engineer to help us design our patented muffler system.
Is Vita-Mix equipment UL certified and why is this important?
Yes. The result of the standards and rigorous testing regimen performed by the UL is an assurance that a piece of equipment will perform as designed while protecting the operator from injury. All Vita-Mix blenders are UL listed and adhere to UL 763 and related standards. Vita-Mix blenders are equipped with reliable thermal protection systems rated for the current and voltage of the equipment they protect.
