The local company is supporting the national book tour promoting "Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes". Dr. Barnard is one of the nation's leading advocates for health and nutrition. In addition to other local appearances, Dr. Barnard will give a free lecture at LACENTRE Conference & Banquet Facility in Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday April 23rd. The local company is encouraging all of Cleveland to attend.

Open and free to the public, the lecture will focus on research recently published in Diabetes Care that explains how people with diabetes or pre-diabetes no longer have to "...cut calories, watch portion sizes or limit carbohydrates." Attendees will be invited to watch a cooking demonstration and tasting event provided by Vita-Mix Corporation. Attendees will also be given a chance to win a free Vita-Mix 5000 machine.
