Place the oranges in the CIA Professional Series container and secure the lid. Select VARIABLE 1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to VARIABLE 10. Blend until juiced. Remove orange juice and repeat with apples – adding a touch of water if needed. Set aside 1 cup / 240 ml of the orange juice and 1/2 cup / 120 ml of the apple pulp.

| 2 | In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the remaining orange juice, apple pulp and water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the barley. Cook uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

| 3 | Add the remaining ingredients and cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
