Vitamix® Challenges Chefs’ Creativity
Chefs blend-off in competition for title and Vitamix machines
CLEVELAND – Several of the most talented chefs from across the country will battle it out during the ultimate cooking competition–the 2012 Vitamix Challenge. Equipped with a Vitamix blender, shared kitchen equipment, and contributing their own ingredients, six professional chefs will "blend-off" in an attempt to win the ultimate Vitamix package for their kitchen and the bragging rights as this year’s Vitamix Challenge Champion. The 3rd Annual Vitamix Challenge held at the StarChefs.com International Chefs Congress is a real-time event that tests the culinary skills and determination of each participant. The Vitamix Challenge takes place in New York City on October 2nd.
During this uniquely-styled culinary challenge, contestants will be tasked with creating dishes that showcase the Vitamix blender in unusual and innovative ways. Contestants have 60 minutes to prove their originality, creativity and blending techniques to judges as they compete for the title of the 2012 Vitamix Challenge Champion. The well-known judges include celebrity chefs Richard Blais, Paul Qui and leading journalists and cookbook authors Matt and Ted Lee.

- Phillip Lopez – Owner/Executive Chef, Root, New Orleans, LA
- Jason Bond – Owner/Chef, Bondir Restaurant, Cambridge, MA
