Vitamix Chief Financial Officer Loree Connors Receives Northeast Ohio Smart 50 Award

Smart Business Recognizes Top Executives of Region’s 50 Smartest Companies

CLEVELAND — Smart Business has honored Vitamix Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Corporate Treasurer Loree Connors as a Smart 50 Award recipient. The Smart 50 Awards recognize the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in the region for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations. Nominees were selected by Smart Business and interviewed by business experts and professors.

Connors oversees the accounting, finance, information technology and administrative functions at Vitamix, a family-owned manufacturer of high performance blending equipment. As a fourth-generation family member, Connors was exposed to Vitamix from an early age, but spent 25 years working in public accounting prior to joining its leadership team in 2005. During her tenure, Connors has guided the company through a period of rapid growth and positioned it for global expansion; Vitamix machines are now sold in more than 140 countries.

Connors helped build the high-performance corporate culture which has been instrumental in turning Vitamix into an industry leader. She has played a critical role in setting strategy for the company, defining its guiding principles using appreciative inquiry, a change management approach that focuses on what’s working well and doing more of it. Under her financial stewardship, Vitamix has achieved a strong balance sheet with consistent healthy profitability results.

In addition to her official duties as CFO, Connors enjoys coaching and mentoring employees, informally and through formal leadership training. She is also passionate about helping others understand and enjoy the benefits of healthy living through proper diet and exercise.
