Rated 5 out of 5 by Bevin from Delicious soup! This soup is SO good and so easy to make! Just make sure you don't forget to steam/cook the broccoli first! I made that mistake once :) Great as the recipe says, or with some canned (rinses) white beans added too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by patriciat12 from A great base to build on! I used this recipe, then added another cup of steamed broccoli and about 6 cherry tomatoes, and rough chopped them (setting of 2, pulse 3-4 times) to make the soup chunky. I held back a little bit of the cheese from the recipe to sprinkle on as a garnish, added some broken up tortilla chips and a teaspoon of salsa to each bowl. Dee-licious!

Is steaming the broccoli necessary or is it okay to just put frozen broccoli directly into the Vitamix? Thank you.
I made this recipe but didn't read the fact that the broccoli needs to be steamed; it tasted like I was eating grass. I will try again and follow the recipe exactly next time....

Can this be made in S series with same measure ?
Yes this can be made in the S series with the same amount of ingredients. The S series will heat the soup in a different amount of time than our traditional models. We do not recommend going over 7 minutes and 30 seconds in your blend time.
