Rated 4 out of 5 by Bryand from Add Water Good smoothie but mix needed water. My Vitamix could not grind everything and it is only 1 month old. I added a 1/4 cup of water after the fact and then it was fine

I have a Vitamix C series with pulse setting and variable speed . When & how do I use pulse setting ?
To use the pulse setting. move the variable speed dial to the appropriate speed stated in a recipe then hold the pulse button down for 2 to 3 seconds. This will help to get texture or do a simple chop technique.
