This vegan pineapple "ice cream" makes it easy to enjoy the flavors you love.
- 1 3/4 cups (260 g) frozen pineapple chunks
- 3/4 cup (158 g) soft tofu
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.
This recipe has been written for the C-Series machines with Variable Speed control and Standard 64-ounce container. If you are using a different Vitamix machine or container size, you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed, processing time, and/or ingredient quantities.
How can I make an Avocado ice cream? Don't remember all the ingredients. I knw Avocado,spinach, sweetener,vanilla creamer. What about lime in it?
Here are a couple recipes for avocado ice cream, AVOCADO ICE CREAM ¾ cups Apple Concentrate ½ tbsp. Vanilla ½ tbsp. Cinnamon 1/8 Avocado ½ Apple 1 tbsp. Whole Flax Seed ½ scoop Whole Nectar Soy Smoothie Mix* 3 cups Ice Place ingredients in container in the order listed. Select variable speed 1 and quickly increase to 10 then to high speed. Use tamper and process on high speed for 30-60 seconds or until smooth. Chocolate Avocado Ice Cream ½ an Avocado 1 Cup French Vanilla coffee creamer (Soy Milk or Coconut milk based creamer ) 2 packs Hot Cocoa mix (Nestle preferred) 3 Cups Ice Place creamer, avocado, cocoa mix then ice into container. Select variable one, start take up to ten and run machine for about 30-40 seconds or until you see four mounds form in the corners of you machine. You will need to use your tamper to push the ice into the blades.

Can you use fresh pineapple instead of frozen?
No the frozen pineapple will allow this recipe to form into a sorbet. If you would like to freeze the fresh pineapple and then use that you can.

I would like to make Pineapple Sorbet. Brought my wonderful Vitamix from PA to Florida with me. Can't live without it. Forgot my Book. Is there a recipe. I don't want to use Tofu at all. I use stevia as sweetener when needed Sugar is too gritty.
When changing this recipes just replace the tofu with your favorite yogurt and you can use stevia in the amount that you would like to sweeten the dessert.

Can I freeze it for later? What will that do to the texture?
When freezing frozen desserts we recommend pre-portioning the desserts to freeze. Then removing them from the freezer 5-10 minutes before serving to thaw the frozen dessert slightly.

Can I substitute banana for the tofu?
Yes you can substitute banana for tofu. You may need to add a little more liquid to the blend to form the perfect 4 mounds.
