Banana Blueberry Orange Smoothie
Kids love the delightful purplish color of this refreshing snack! Just add ice to turn it into a delicious sorbet.
- 180 ml (¾ cup) water
- 1 Large orange, peeled, halved
- 1 frozen banana, peeled, halved
- 75 g (½ cup) frozen blueberries
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 1 minute or until desired consistency is reached.

I used 1/2 cup water with about 1/2 cup ice cubes because my banana wasn't frozen. I would think the fresher your ingredients, the less water and more ice you could change out to increase the thickness. Great easy recipe!

I followed the instructions but added ice, 1 t. maca powder, 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder, about a teaspoon of peanut butter powder, a tablespoon of coconut oil, a large spoon of unflavored Fage yogurt, and a couple of mini ice cubes of beet juice I had in the freezer (from when I juiced them and had too many, I made mini ice cubes for such a reason). It was satisfying and I didn't go to bed hungry . . . nor was my stomach having to work too hard before bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnO from Great smoothies I use about 4oz of OJ, a handful of frozen blueberries, 1/2 fresh banana, maybe some pure grape juice or other juice we might have, or peel a tangerine and throw it in the mix, and a handful of ice cubes. Hit the switch and what comes out is a wonderful smoothie, that is healthful, about 150 calories (use only unsweetened fruit juices) and taste great. I have this every morning during my Bible time.
