Asian Style Seasoning
Nori sheets and Sichuan peppercorns are among the all-natural ingredients that come together in this zesty seasoning.
Ingredients
- 35 g (¼ cup) sesame seeds
- 1½ toasted nori sheets, crumbled into small pieces
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 Tablespoon Maldon salt
- 1 Tablespoon Sichuan peppers
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 2 teaspoons black poppy seeds
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and off quickly to pulse 3 to 4 times, using the tamper to press the ingredients into the blades.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 5.
- Blend for 30 seconds, using the tamper to press the ingredients into the blades.
Notes
Leave somewhat coarse, but blended.
