Vitamix Presents the S55, a Powerful, Premium Personal Blender

Vitamix S55 Takes the Guesswork Out of Blending with Pre-Programmed Settings and an Automatic Shut-Off Feature

CLEVELAND—Vitamix® introduces the latest innovation in personal blending: the S55. Engineered to deliver power and premium results in a compact machine, the S55 makes it easier than ever to create individual smoothies and small batches of recipes including soups, dressings and sauces.

The S55 is more than a blender, combining versatility and durability for which Vitamix is known with the convenience of four pre-programmed settings in a smaller size. Ideal for today’s on-the-go lifestyle, the machine comes with two unique containers, plus a lightweight base, enabling every member of the household to create their own personal blends with minimal clean-up in between.

Four pre-programmed settings—Smoothies, Power Blends, Dips & Spreads, and Frozen Desserts, plus an automatic shut-off at the end of a cycle—take the guesswork out of blending speeds and times, ensuring consistent results. The Power Blends program has been designed to automatically process especially tough ingredients, like leafy greens, protein powders, frozen fruits and hearty vegetables. In addition, a Variable Speed Control and a Pulse feature enable users to effortlessly create a variety of textures.

The S55 is equipped with a metal drive system, signature Vitamix laser-cut, stainless-steel blades and two unique, shatter-resistant containers—making it simple to prepare individual servings of smoothies and juices, quickly chop vegetables, grind grains and produce smaller batches of soups, sauces, vinaigrettes, frozen desserts and more. The 20-ounce double-insulated travel cup quickly blends single-serving recipes. It fits most cup holders, sports a flip-top lid and helps maintain temperatures while en route. The 40-ounce container offers fast processing, a mess-free pour and the versatility to prepare single and double servings of thick or frozen mixtures and favorite Vitamix recipes.

An interlock mechanism ensures the container is securely in place before starting the machine. The removable blade base on the S55 makes it safe and easy to extract thicker creations, like peanut butter and dips. For added convenience, both containers, as well as the tamper and blade base, are top rack dishwasher-safe.

“The S55 elevates the personal blending experience,” said Karen Haefling, vice president of marketing, Vitamix. “This blender makes it simple to streamline meals—whether at home or away—via the first-of-its-kind combination of pre-programmed settings and the power and portability of a small format Vitamix machine.”

Because of its sleek and compact design, the new machine fits easily in or under kitchen cabinets, and the containers can be conveniently stored on refrigerator shelves. In addition to home use, the S55 is also perfect for having on-hand at the gym, office, vacation home or business trip.

The S55 has a suggested retail price of $539, and includes a personal blending cookbook and five-year warranty. The S55 is available in a premium, easy-to-clean brushed stainless finish exclusively at Williams-Sonoma and
