Lots of information!
This book is PACKED full of information!! All you need to know to get informed and excited about incorporating more whole grains into your baking. Only downside is that the font is tiny and that there's almost too much information included on each page - It's a little overwhelming! That, and now I think I need the dry blending jar!

Start with whole grain!
Some of the breads have the amount of whole grain to mill, and I love this! The basic dry rub recipe is excellent, and every spice blend I have tried has been so flavorful compared to keeping them on hand. The flavored butters are lovely, and since getting an Ascent model with the 8oz containers I make them a lot more often. The (sourdough) Potato Starter recipe is not on the page some recipes tell you to find it on, in my book it is on page 47

Thick, heavy, in a few languages
I bought this book together with a Smart Vitamix A3500. I do not like this book because it is heavy, thick, pages with sharp edges, includes 3 more languages. English, which I use, occupies only 1/4 of all pages. The book is difficult to handle while cooking. I am sure there is no point to buy such a cookbook without a Dry container, which I do not have. Text in English is orientated on the USA users (names of ingredients, etc). I use a cookbook included with A3500 Vitamix. I actually do not need "Whole Grains". Waist of £££££

needs an editor
Is there an errata page for this cookbook on the Vitamix web site? Not that I can find. Many errors. Sourdough starter is supposed to be on page 75. It isn't. I googled 'proofing' and 'potato water' to learn what they are.

Keeping it simple
If you are looking to keep things simple and basic, the way things used to be, this book is for you. The recipes and procedures are great and the results pale anything you can buy at your local super market. Buying grains in the whole form and grinding them as needed also saves you money. Great addition to your Vitamix dry container.
