Rated 5 out of 5 by climbingwendle from It was great, the whole family loved it easy & quick. If basil is not plentiful this is a great alternative and I bet most would not even notice the kale (over just traditional basil). We used almonds when I found no pine nuts in the pantry-Again, did not taste a difference from traditional pesto. Delicious. We added tomatoes and rigatoni.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DebCarv from AWESOME, LOVE IT!!! This recipe is SO quick & easy (I used to use a mortar & pestle which took FOREVER). Since we grow basil in the summertime we have a lot so I don't use the kale. I make extra batches, pour into ice cube trays, freeze & we enjoy it all year long! We also love the pesto on our homemade pizza.

Rated 5 out of 5 by melissasue21 from Love it! We had extra kale and basil in the garden and when searching for recipes I stumbled across this one. Although my garlic was a little strong (next time I will use 2 cloves) the whole family gobbled this up!! Great on pasta and for a crudite dip.
