Nuts and Miso Sauce


  • ½ cup (140 g) white miso paste
  • ½ cup (60 g) cashews
  • 2 Tablespoons honey, or other sweetener, to taste
  • 3 Tablespoons mirin
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt


  1. Place white miso paste, walnuts, honey, mirin, and sea salt into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 6.
  4. Blend for 30 seconds.

Chef's Notes

The sauce can be served with dried seaweed, mushrooms, spinach, green beans, raw cucumber, or tofu.
