Gold Medal Smoothie
Keeping you energized and alert throughout the day, the Gold Medal Smoothie lives up to its name.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (120 ml) water
- 1 (125 g) medium banana, peeled
- 1/2 cups (30 g) cantaloupe chunks
- 1/2 (30 g) small carrots
- 1/4 (40 g) medium orange, peeled
- ¼ lemon, peeled
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 Slice (75 g) pineapple
- 2 dates, pitted, or 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 2 cups (260 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
- Blend for 1 minute or until desired consistency is reached, using the tamper to press the ingredients toward the blades. Serve immediately.
Chef's Notes
One scoop of chocolate protein powder is a tasty addition to this recipe.

This one is interesting.
This one isn't my favorite, and I struggled to find the tweak that would make it amazing for me. But for a change in pace it works. For those who can't do bananas for reasons of taste or allergies, frozen sweet potato works to give it that smoothness and heft that banana adds.

I love this recipe. It really deserves a gold meddle, it was a little sweet but good with a little bit of carrot in it.
