Good Morning Green Smoothie
Fresh fruit blends harmoniously with chopped cucumber and broccoli in this vibrant breakfast smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- 2 cups (300 g) green grapes
- ½ (80 g) small cucumber
- 1 (70 g) medium kiwi
- 1 (180 g) medium apple, halved, seeded
- 1½ cup (130 g) broccoli florets
- 1 slice lemon, ½" slice, with peel
- 2 cups (260 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
Notes
This smoothie is a great way to sneak extra veggies and fiber into your diet. Try adding ingredients through your lid plug opening while blending - spinach or kale for a bolder color, or a slice of fresh pineapple for extra vitamins and sweetness.

Surprisingly refreshing!
I was quite impressed with this recipe! Although it listed the amounts for a 64 oz blender, I actually doubled this recipe and it still all fit. I would have never thought to add raw broccoli to a morning smoothie, but you can't even taste it! For my "doubled recipe", I did a half english cucumber, 2 cups green grapes, 2 cups raw broccoli, one kiwi, one apple, and a full lemon. I replaced the liquid with coconut water as well. Doubling made a full 28 bottle for my husband, a full 20oz bottle for myself, and I had a pint mason jar full of extra. I'm thinking about freezing the extra into ice cubes to reuse in another green smoothie. Having this with a morning cup of coffee kept me plenty full until lunch!

Recommended tweak
Smoothies are my favorite thing to make with my Vitamix. Absolutely delicious every time. The one tweak that I like to make is to reduce the amount of ice in a recipe. I have found that it waters down the flavors. Instead, I'll take the green seedless grapes and put them in an ice cube tray then fill it with either water or another juice. I use this instead and it gives it a great flavor and smoothness without watering it down.

A Green Latte :)
This is a wonderful smoothie. We substituted almond milk for water and put in frozen grapes instead of ice cubes. Better than a latte!

Just needs some protien for the AM
Switch cocanut water and add vanilla protien powder and leave out the grapes, to cut back on the sugar.
