Hhoo Whee!
This was a great recipe to begin with my new VitaMix! That dang smoothie came out great and was De-lic-IOUS!
I changed it a tad:
- 1/3 cup of ice .... 2-3 cubes go into a 1/3 cup. Not sure how that's supposed to work, but I added a lot more to make it into an actual smoothie
- More peanut butter, 'cus, 'Merica!
- Espresso grounds - it's a "breakfast" smoothie, ain't it?
- I mixed the heck out of the soft ingredients first, then added the ice
Enjoy!

Delicious Breakfast Smoothie!
This has to be one of the best smoothies that I've made yet with my new Vitamix! Be sure to add much more ice than is called for if you like your smoothies extra thick and creamy like I do. I even add a scoop of strawberry 100% whey protein powder along with a shot of espresso for that extra morning pick-me-up!

You can sub frozen fruit with the ie cubes, and increase the oats to a full serving pretty easy. I did strawberries and a full 1/2 cup of oats.
If you blend the oats first, it makes for a smoother texture

SO YUMMY....
Such a yummy and filling breakfast! I added chia seeds and cocoa nibs for the heck of it but without it would have still been amazing! I HIGHLY recommend this recipe.

Happy belly
I didn't have two of the ingredients, oats and rice milk, which I replaced for coconut flakes and unsweetened almond milk. I'd still have to try the original recipe, but as I just did it, it has a lovely flavor and, for a breakfast meal, it's very fulfilling. Using the exact measurements, although it says it's for 3 servings, it serves 2 large glasses.
