Tahini has many uses in the kitchen. It's great spread over warm toast, on crackers or on sandwiches.


  • 4¼ cup (600 g) sesame seeds


  1. Place sesame seeds into the Vitamix container and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  4. Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smooth, using the tamper to press ingredients into the blades.


Toasting raw sesame seeds gives the tahini a more intense flavor. If toasting, bake at 350°F (180°C) for 8 minutes, or until light brown.
