Sauce « comme au fromage »
Cette sauce faite de crème d'amande aux saveurs de nachos est délicieuse servie sur des pommes de terre, du brocoli ou comme trempette pour des croustilles.
- 240 ml (1 tasse) d'eau
- 1 citron, pelé
- 120 g (1 tasse) de poivrons rouges rôtis, pelés, épépinés ou de piments en conserve
- 70 g (⅔ tasse) d'amandes
- 1 cuillères à thé de poudre d'oignon
- 30 g (¼ tasse) de levure alimentaire
- ½ cuillère à thé de sel (facultatif)
- Mettre tous les ingrédients dans le contenant Vitamix dans l'ordre indiqué, puis verrouiller le couvercle.
- Démarrer le mélangeur à sa vitesse la plus basse, puis augmenter rapidement la vitesse jusqu'au maximum, en utilisant le pilon pour pousser les ingrédients vers les lames.
- Mélanger pendant 4 minutes ou jusqu'à ce qu'une épaisse vapeur s'échappe du couvercle ventilé.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VitamixJunkie from Decent as it. Even better if you modify slightly Pretty good sauce. I don't think the basic sauce as written is gonna pass for real cheese dip anytime soon. However, I still think it's tasty. One slight addition, I added maybe 3-4 tbps of taco seasoning to the sauce and it really made it better. We were dipping tortilla chips in it and most people said they wouldn't have known it was cheese-less unless I told them. They would have only thought it was bit 'different'. Overall, i'm keeping this recipe. Good stuff.

I made some cauliflower rice, sauteed it in coconut oil with some seasoning and then poured this sauce in. If you're trying to eat whole foods and miss comforts like macaroni and cheese, this will fill that void.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ladygamer from Wow! I was surprised at how yummy this 'cheese' sauce turned out! I did change it up a bit, though. Instead of 2 C water, I used 1 C water & 1 C soymilk. I also cut down the lemon juice, but just ever so slightly! I must add how much I love my Vitamix. It is a wonderful machine and it has made my vegan diet even more fullfilled. Vitamix rocks!

Obviously they have misread the recipe. Then, one person said instead of adding two cups water.... the recipe did not call for two cups of water. What is wrong with these people? Can they not read a recipe? I love my Vitamix and use it just about every day.
