Lait de riz
Transformez votre riz brun cuit à l'aide d'une pincée de cassonade pour créer un délicieux lait sans lactose.
- 4 tasses (960 ml) d'eau
- 200 g (1 tasse) de riz brun, refroidi
- 3 dattes, dénoyautées
- Mettre tous les ingrédients dans le récipient Vitamix dans l'ordre indiqué, puis verrouiller le couvercle.
- Sélectionner la Variable 1.
- Démarrer l'appareil et augmenter graduellement la vitesse jusqu'à la Variable 10, puis passer à la vitesse élevée.
- Mélanger pendant 2-3 minutes ou jusqu'à ce que la consistance désirée soit atteinte. Conserver au réfrigérateur. Bien agiter avant utilisation.

I added a cinnamon stick to the rice while it was cooking and ground it with the rice after it cooled. It is just as good as the Horchata (rice milk) I get at the local mexican restaurant. I would definitely make this again.

However, I see here that the recipe ratios are different than what I've used, and which were shown in my Vitamix book from like 10 years ago. My recipe called for 2 cups water and just 1/2 cup cooked brown rice (or 1/4 cup brown rice BEFORE it is cooked and fluffs up). When I made it this way, it came out very good. I assume this newer recipe and ratios, as shown here, make the milk thicker...

Rated 1 out of 5 by bobmenfl from Wording Error!!! Your recipe calls for 1 cup of Brown Rice cooked WRONG!!! It should read 1 Cup of cooked Brown Rice. Am I right? I ended up with a gooey mess and a Vitamix that nearly seized up!
