Berry Frozen Yoghurt
We've used blueberries, strawberries, and a little honey for sweetness, but you can personalise this basic froyo recipe with your favourite berries and toppings.
Ingredients
- 350 g (1½ cup) dairy free yogurt, or vanilla yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon honey, optional
- 245 g (2 cups) frozen blueberries
- 450 g (3 cups) frozen strawberries
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
- In about 30-60 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur. Serve immediately.

Excellent recipe for low carbers
This is wonderful, and there isn't another machine out there that could do it. I especially love that it uses blueberries. This is an excellent recipe for low-carb eaters like me; berries are the only fruit we can eat. (We changed the honey to Stevia.) My husband ate FIVE scoops because he loved it so much!
The Vitamix has helped our diet so much. Since we eat few "sweets", this is a fantastic addition to our recipes!

we could eat this all day!
This is my first frozen dessert I've made with my Vitamix, and there really was no effort to it, it was so easy. I used the Frozen Dessert setting on my A2500 - easy peasy!
I made a few changes. Since I don't like honey's taste I substituted with Stevia. I also used plain Greek yoghurt, but added vanilla essence. Otherwise the ratios of berries and yoghurt remained the same.
Oh. My. Goodness. It was lovely. We had it after our dinner last night. The temperature here is over 100F and it's such a welcome treat. We will be making this again tonight!

Better than ice cream
I made mine with a brand of good vanilla vegan yogurt and frozen strawberries. I make it often. Maybe too often. Lol i don’t add any sweetener as the yogurt has sugar in it.

Very Refreshing
I used a mixture from a bag of frozen fruit. It had blackberries, strawberries and blueberries in it which is easy to find in almost any grocery store. We served it up right out of the container and it was so refreshing. Leftovers went in the freezer. Next day from the freezer I was amazed at the way it easily scooped out. No chipping away. Next time I will add a wee bit more honey as it was a little bit too tart for me.

Good
We thought this recipe was good but we thought it has too much yogurt in it. We used Greek vanilla yogurt and next time I'll use 1 cup instead of the 1 1/2 cup, I prefer a more fruit flavor. Also I over mixed it and ended up making a smoothie!! LOL! But it was still good. Love this blender!!

Delicious!
There is nothing like having a cool treat in the hot summer months that not only tastes good but is healthy as well. The combination of berries is perfect. Sometimes I will add agave nectar instead of honey. But regardless this has the perfect amount of sweetness to enjoy anytime.
