Garam Masala

Ground spices are the perfect way to add depth of flavour and a personal touch to your homemade dishes, plus they can be stored for weeks.


  • ½ teaspoon nigella seeds
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ¾ teaspoon green cardamom pods
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fennel seed
  • ¼ teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1 cinnamon stick, or 1/8 teaspoon ground, 1.5"
  • 4 whole cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg


  1. Place all the ingredients into the Vitamix 1.2-L container in the order listed and secure the blade.
  2. Turn the dial to 1 and slowly increase the speed to 10.
  3. Blend for 20 seconds.
