Strawberry Yoghurt Freeze
Turn frozen strawberries and nonfat yoghurt into a sweet after-dinner treat. It's easy to explore creative options with this recipe by trying other frozen fruit and yogurt flavour combinations.
Ingredients
- 350 g (1½ cup) almond yogurt, or low-fat yogurt
- 680 g (1½ pounds) frozen strawberries
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
- In about 30-60 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur. Serve immediately.
Notes
When the frozen dessert is finished processing, you will see 4 distinct mounds at the top of the blend. Optimal temperature for frozen ingredients is 20 to 25 degrees Fahrenheit.

Would like more accurate weights
I'm happy to see that Vitamix is providing weights with recipes as well as providing different container size options with some of the recipes. Having said that, I wish a bit more effort would be put into making sure the weights are accurate (they are not in this recipe). I also noticed a different recipe is given for the 32 oz container vs the 48 oz and 64 oz classic, which would make one assume that the smaller recipe provided for the 32 oz wouldn't work in the 48 oz or 64 oz classic. Is this a correct assumption, or since those containers all have a narrower base, would the smaller recipe work in all of them?

Really good!
Can't believe how easy it is to make frozen yogurt right in my own home and in just MINUTES! Just to spice it up a bit I added some maraschino cherries (right out of the jar) and some frozen blueberries and it was DELICIOUS! My husband who doesn't really care for frozen yogurt is currently scraping the bowl.
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS RECIPE!

What a surprise
I had these ingredients ready to go, added two tablespoons of sugar and started the process in my a3500 using my new stainless steel container. I had the tamper inserted through the top and pushed down hard in all the corners throughout the process. It sounded as though it was just spinning in an air pocket and then occasionally it would grab ahold and the machine would bog down but it kept running. I thought it would stall but it never did. In my mind I was picturing a failure but when I took the lid off I couldn't believe my eyes! It was so perfectly blended and smooth. I cannot underestimate the power of this machine anymore. We enjoyed it immediately and had enough to place in the freezer for later.

The sweeter the berries...
Just got my blender today, first recipe i tried. I saw note from other reviewer about needing added sugar. My strawberries were a little tart so i added a couple table spoon of granulated raw sugar and some vanilla extract, cause to me vanilla is to desert what garlic is to cooking, you can never put too much. ;) Texture is silky smooth, color remain very vibrant. This is a good base for frozen fruity treats.

Love It!!!!
OMG - Love this recipe! This is now our go to for desert. We've tried strawberries, strawberries & bananas, bananas, triple berries (blue berry, raspberry, strawberry), blueberries, blueberries & bananas.... all are winners! We've recently started adding chocolate protein powder. YUMMY
