Surprised at the creamy sweetness of this.
I accidentally over cooked some brown rice the other day and added ¼ cup of it into this smoothie for a little bit of healthy carbs before my a.m. workout. It was delicious. I love the consistency and the sweetness. Plus it's really filling. Definitely saving this one!

Refreshing, creamy, Goodness
We have tried this drink a few times now with a slight variation. We use a couple dates and no sugar and it is plenty sweet for us. I like that we get to use an avocado in this drink and it adds to the smooth creamy texture plus getting a dose of healthy fat. We will keep making this smoothy adding the ice is a nice touch on a hot day.

I love this delicious drink
I just made this recipe with a minor variation. I substituted 1 cup of frozen strawberries instead of the ice cubes and honey instead of granulated sugar. It was very smooth and delicious.

Could be healthier
No need to add sugar! Just use ripe frozen bananas. The riper the sweeter. Whole Foods Plant Based!

If you love banana shakes...
then this drink delivers. Reminds me of the banana strawberry shakes my mom would make me as a kid. She added milk and sugar to the cut up fruit + some $1 shake packet she would buy in the produce section. The Vitamix recipe doesn't have to use that packet so keeping it simple definitely adds to the nutrition value. I used a package of store bought frozen avocado chunks (about 20 cubes) which is equivalent to 1/2 an avocado. Since I didn't taste any avocado, the next time I will try 30 chunks instead.

Excellent and Easy...don't bother with sugar
This is the kind of recipe that shows the value of a Vitamix...throw everything in, turn it on for 30 seconds, then BAM, you're done. You don't need sugar for sweetness. We use unsweetened vanilla almond milk and love it. Makes good popsicles too.

Thick and creamy!
Very nice, smooth and thick texture.
I used only one banana, the whole avocado and added a pinch of salt for taste. You can use whatever milk you have on hand. You can't go wrong with this recipe.

Tasty
No need to add sugar. Sweet enough if bananas are ripe. Will make again trying Almond milk, maybe chocolate.
