Spice up your hummus with your favourite hot sauce. Just remember, the heat level you choose will be intensified in the Vitamix.
- 425 g (15 ounces) tinned garbanzo beans, rinsed, drained
- 2 Tablespoons hot sauce
- 120 ml (½ cup) Tahini
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase to the highest speed.
- Blend for 1 minute or until smooth, using the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Blending Fool from Came out great! Followed the recipe but used garlic tahini so I left out the garlic clove. Served drizzled with olive oil and a light coating of paprika. A review stated there were no sesame seeds in the recipe, but tahini is a paste from ground sesame seeds and is what is used when making traditional hummus.
