Strawberry Ice Cream
Kick this recipe up a notch by adding a banana, or sneak in courgette for added nutrition.
Ingredients
- 150 ml (⅔ cup) double cream
- ½ banana, peeled
- 80 g (⅓ cup) honey
- 455 g (1 ½ pounds) frozen strawberries
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase to the highest speed, using the tamper to press the ingredients into the blades.
- In 35-50 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form.
- Stop the machine. Do not overmix or melting will occur.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Sneak in some veggies to this recipe to make it even more nutritious: ½ carrot, a slice of raw white cabbage or 1 small courgette won't change the colour or the taste!

Wow!
Put in all 80 gallons of honey. It was kinda sweet, but that half a banana tempered it.

Ice cream in under 1 minute! Amazing.
My son and his friends love this ice cream, little do they know that I add courgette to it every time. Really quick and easy to make. I usually freeze fresh strawberries when they are going soft and use them to make this.

Very Tasty
May try more Half and Half and less Milk. I think it may give it a thicker consistency

Smoothie Like
The flavor was amazing, however the consistency was more like a smoothie, just a little thicker.

Easy and Good!
Exactly what I wanted, and easy to make. I like that I can just use frozen strawberries and no ice (I don't have room in my freezer for ice!). I thought the texture was just right, like softened ice cream, but then I like my ice cream a little bit melted. Tasted great and seems adaptable to adding other flavors.

Really Good, but not icy enough
This was pretty simple and easy ice cream, but it was more like a smoothie than ice cream. Also, it tasted more like strawberry banana but that's ok.
