Hot Cheese Sauce
With three simple ingredients, this sauce makes the perfect addition to steamed broccoli or macaroni pasta, or as a side sauce for grilled fish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk
- 1¾ cup (200 g) cheddar cheese
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 4 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid.
Notes
Pour hot cheese sauce over steamed broccoli or macaroni pasta and bake topped with bread crumbs.

Ok for broccoli bake, too thin for a side sauce
New to blending so starting with simple recipes and thought I'd give this a go to go with fish. This is a very thin sauce though (should have known better as it doesn't have flour!) So would only be ok if using as a base for baking. I quickly rescued this by making a roux and adding this to it - very flavoursome though.

Cheese sauce split
I've only recently purchased a Vitamix, tried this cheese sauce as reads so easy, I made the sauce it looks great I poured it over cooked broccoli, cauliflower and pasta, put in oven to brown, but the sauce split
