Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs

The basic deviled egg is everyone's favorite.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and place on stovetop. Add the eggs and baking soda, and bring to a boil. Once water has started to boil, turn the heat off, cover with lid, and leave for 12 minutes. After the 12 minutes, carefully scoop eggs out and place in an ice bath. Carefully peel the shells off of the eggs.
  2. Cut the eggs in half, scoop the yolks into your Vitamix container and reserve hard-boiled white portion. Place egg yolks, vinegar, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  3. Start the machine on its lowest speed, then increase to its highest. Blend for 30 seconds using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades. Remove blended mixture from the container and scoop into a piping bag. Carefully pipe the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.

Notes

Baking soda or vinegar is a common ingredient in the boiling process to help the egg shells release easier from the egg. This basic recipe is a great start, create your own with different toppings or add to the filling. Keep the classic flavor and creamy texture while using a lighter touch of mayonnaise. Eggs are nutrient powerhouses, offering high-quality protein, vitamin D for bone health, choline for brain function, and antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin that support eye health. Making them at home lets you control ingredients and tailor taste to your preference. Perfect for parties, snacks, or a protein-rich appetizer.
