Oat and Avocado Face Mask
Simple and easy to make face mask that nourishes your skin.
Ingredients
- 1 medium (135 g) avocado, peeled and pitted
- ¼ cup (60 ml) honey, raw honey preferred
- ¼ cup (25 g) rolled oats
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the blade base.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30-40 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
- Scrape the ingredients into an airtight bowl, cover, and refrigerate. Using about 1/4 cup per mask, gently spread the mixture onto your face, being careful around the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Let the face mask sit on skin for fifteen to twenty minutes. Rinse and moisturize.
Notes
It sounds a little weird, but this face mask is very user friendly, and edible. It would work great as a smoothie bowl as well topped with fresh berries, shaved coconut and/or granola.
