Hate the lid for the 32 oz containerSo disappointed that the lid for the 32 oz container is different from the container for the 64 oz. I find it very unpleasant to remove the 32 oz lid. I sometimes put it against my chest to get it off.
I think if the tabs were longer the lid would probably be fine. Or just keep it exactly like the lid for the 64 oz!!
Another issue, not nearly as important, is that the hollow handle just makes one more hard to access surface to clean.
I called customer service to talk about this because I didn't want to give a bad rating here, but the representative (who was very nice) said to just be honest.
Apart from the lid I do love the blender.

Perfect size for household of one or twoI received my refurbished vitamix with standard 64 oz container as a gift 2 years ago. I struggled because in our household of two, I am just the one vegan and while the vitamix is an essential tool to achieve the right consistency for nut based cheeses and creams, the amount needed for just one person can't really be done in such a large container. I finally gave in and bought the smaller container, which is absolutely perfect. I actually enjoy it and use it a lot more now. Frankly, I wish I'd bought it right away, but ideally, vitamix should give customers a choice of containers at the time of purchase, rather than requiring us to buy additional containers.

Great for smaller blending jobs.I bought my Vitamix 750 recently. It of course comes with a 64 oz container. I used it for a couple months and realized I was always blending more ingredients than I actually wanted because I was trying to fill the minimum space needed for a proper blend.
I started looking at personal blenders but and even at the new Vitamix personal blenders. I wanted Vitamix quality so that ruled out all but the Vitamix personal blenders. Even those are coming with the 40 oz container.
The 32 oz. allows me to do small jobs so I can makes things for myself without having an excess. It is Vitamix so I'm getting the quality I want and I'm not paying for a whole new blender.

Just the right sizeI bought this after reading many reviews about the 32 ounce being a better size for most things. I am very happy I purchased it as we use the 32 ounce all the time and the 64 only occasionally. I still am happy to have the 64 ounce as when you need that size you have it. Wish Vitamix would come up with a package featuring both sizes for a better price. The 32 ounce was expensive and I did not realize that it did not come with the small tamper so had to order that after I got the 32 ounce. Really should include the small tamper with the 32 ounce instead of charging an extra $10.00 for it.

Convenient SizeI love the 32 oz container. Easier to store, use, and clean. It is more than large enough for a big smoothie to go in the morning and it doesn't take up a giant amount of space. As a matter of fact, it fits on the base under the wall cabinets.
I packed the big one away in the box. I wish the unit came with this size originally...it is far more practical. I bet a few folks would go to the trouble of buying the large size one, but I imagine most would do just fine with this size if it came that way. I find the taller container cumbersome and harder to clean, scrape and so on. Highly recommend this size. Easier all around. It is a little expensive for what it is, but the convenience is worth it.

Love it!I have had my Vitamix for 15 years and sometimes the original container is just too big so I got this smaller one. It is much more convenient for my uses. And now the whole unit fits on my counter top! It is a perfect size for a power smoothie or my homemade single serving of natural ice cream using 1/4 cup milk, one already sliced and frozen banana and some cinnamon. Blend and you have soft serve sugar free ice cream. you can also add walnuts and/or coconut to make it like a blizzard. Works with any frozen fruit. Then I eat it right from the container with a long handled spoon.

Great size for a one or two person householdMy husband and I use the 32 oz container almost exclusively. It is the perfect size for making one or two smoothies. The biggest negative about the 32 oz container is its clear plastic hollow handle which gets water droplets inside when it is washed and it is almost impossible to dry the inside of the handle. It is also makes the container look cheap. I would have given this container 5 stars if it had a nicer handle.
I do not understand why you have to purchase the mini tamper separately from the 32 oz. container, since the mini tamper is necessary to get the full benefit. The purchase price for the 32 oz. container and additional mini tamper is expensive for what you get but it makes the Vitamix more versatile.

My favorite containerAdmittedly, I'm a Vitamix junkie. I own all the containers. And the 32 oz wet container is my favorite. It's my go-to container for small batches of ice cream, smoothies, salad dressing, chutney, you name it. I recommend buying the mini-tamper; not sure why it is not included, but it really helps. I disagree strongly with the reviewer who said it won't blend thick items. It's either user error or a problem with her base unit, because this container is awesome. One has to use common sense when blending; don't stuff a container completely full of frozen ingredients, or more than 1/2 full of thick and heavy ingredients like garbanzo beans for hummus. You will love this container!
