Café irlandés helado
Un delicioso café helado.
- ½ taza (120 ml) de leche de soya o producto lácteo alternativo
- 12 dátiles (75 g) sin hueso
- 4 hojas frescas de menta
- 1 1/2 tazas (360 ml) de café frío
- 3 tazas (380 g) de cubos de hielo
- Vierta todos los ingredientes en el vaso de la Vitamix en el orden indicado y cierre bien la tapa.
- Encienda la licuadora en la velocidad más baja y luego increméntala rápidamente hasta llegar a la máxima.
- Licúe durante 30 segundos o hasta que adquiera la consistencia deseada. Sirva de inmediato.

Para convertirla en una versión con alcohol, agregue 1 onza (30 ml) de whisky y licor de crema irlandesa.

I actually added a little amaretto and chocolate liqueur to make it more like Spanish coffee - you could add a variety of extras to tweek it to your liking! I love my new Vitamix ... I find new ways to use it every day!!!

The original recipe was far to sweet for my liking and so on my second attempt I cut the sugar significantly, only adding 1 Tbsp. I also left out the Bailey's and simply doubled the whiskey. This allowed the flavor of the coffee to really come through and not be overpowered by sweetness.

It really is an excellent appliance and I highly recommend it.
