Coctel fresco jardinero
Un refrescante y saludable jugo de jitomate "para llevar" o hidratarse después de hacer ejercicio.
- 1 taza (180 g) de jitomate partido en cubitos
- ½ taza (15 g) de espinacas
- ¼ de taza (30 g) de zanahorias partidas a la mitad
- 1 cucharada de cebolla pelada y troceada
- 1 ramita de perejil
- ¼ de taza (35 g) de pimiento morrón rojo sin rabo ni semillas y cortado en cuadritos
- ½ cucharadita de salsa inglesa
- ⅛ de cucharadita de salsa picante
- 1 pizca de sal
- 1 taza (130 g) de cubos de hielo
- Vierta todos los ingredientes en el vaso de la Vitamix en el orden indicado y cierre bien la tapa.
- Seleccione la velocidad 1.
- Encienda la licuadora y aumente poco a poco la velocidad hasta llegar a la máxima.
- Licúe durante 1 minuto usando la barra presionadora para dirigir los ingredientes hacia las cuchillas o hasta obtener la consistencia deseada.

I also used a dash of kosher salt, celery salt and a couple sprinkles of cayenne pepper. I'm an avid juicer, so I'm still trying to get used to the blended texture. Other than that, I love this recipe. Will definitely make again.

I added celery, cucumber, a bit of cayenne pepper, a spring of parsley and also cilantro. And because I was out of spinach, I used kale. I'm not sure if this is closer to a gazpacho or a juice, but it was very very tasty! And a great way to use up the little bits of leftover vegetable I had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eLucy from If you are going for V8 this a great start.... Like the other reviewers, I think a little spice would make this taste a more like V8. My juice also turned out green even though I followed the recipe (next time I will use more tomatoes or less spinach because I want my V8 to be redish). Also if you blend according to the instructions you do get a good texture - take your time increasing the speed to 10.

I add a splash of ACV or lime juice, a couple of dried stevia leaves, a grind of pepper, and about 3/4 cup of water and a few ice cubes. Very customizable to suit taste. The extra water helps reduce some of the texture for a more liquid drink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dbh2020 from First time trying this recipe, very pleased with. Purchased a Vitamix last year. During the summer experimented with mostly fruit smoothies. This year we have been enjoying more use of the Vitamix as we have made several soups , smoothies and this recipe. The flavour was awesome and knowing the ingredients were all fresh just hadn't to the versatility of the Vitamix machine. Looking forward to making more healthy, delicious recipes. Well done Vitamix, great product. Plus, love the cleaning feature!
