Glad to have options fresh at home!
I read a few irritated reviews here, but this is an amazing feature! Instead of heading to a "specialty" store, I get to blend and test various things at home.
You can't/shouldn't substitute willy-nilly in recipes; there's some chemistry to understand there. But you don't "need" a professional gluten free chef. I mean, how many products in the shelves at stores, created by pros, are over-priced tasteless disappointments?
However, the internet is FULL of recipes and suggested substitutions (ahem - such as where beans flours are concerned.) I've had some flops, and some amazing results. Black bean brownies are a hit in our house. That is, after several attempts to get it right :)

Can't wait to try this
Garbanzos ARE beans and are also known as chickpeas! I don't know what some of the reviewers we're thinking.
I can hardly wait to try making this flour. I am new to gluten-free baking but I am fully aware that you cannot just change out flours. That said, I've got several Keto/Paleo cookbooks that give suggestions & recipes on using alternate flours.
I had my original Vitamix from 1997 to 2018. Had to upgrade when it just quit on me. LOVE my VitaMix!

Perfect for grinding grains and legumes!
I love using my Vitamix to grind any grain or legume. Helps keep things fresh because I can grind only what I need. I use the dry container, usually.

Specialty Flours in VitaMix
This recipe is perfect. I like that I can make it fresh and as much as I need using my dry grains container.

Good to know
It's interesting to know I can make flour from chick-peas in the vitamix...thanks for sharing. Will like to know how does the texture compare to shop bought flours.

gluten free baking experience needed
You may think you can take a bread recipe and change the flour to gluten free and that is all there is to it. WRONG!!!
I have been cooking and baking for about 7 years. That just does not work.
Do not think that living gluten free is easy. I have had more flops learning to bake gluten free.
Find and employ a person who is an experienced gluten free baker. We need good recipes.

what kind of bean
Nice directions but you forgot to mention what type of "bean flour". That is what I thought this recipe was about - how to make the bean flour. Disappointed as that is what I wanted to learn.
