Salsa de mango
Esta salsa dulce y picadita es deliciosa para botanear o ideal como guarnición para un platillo de pollo.
- 2 mangos (670 g) pelados, sin hueso y en rebanadas
- 1 taza (20 g) de hojas frescas de cilantro
- ½ cebolla morada mediana (60 g) pelada y partida a la mitad
- 1 jalapeño sin semillas partido a la mitad
- ½ lima pelada
- Vierta todos los ingredientes en el vaso de la Vitamix en el orden indicado y cierre bien la tapa.
- Encienda la licuadora en la velocidad más baja y luego increméntela rápidamente a la velocidad 4.
- Licúe durante 15 segundos o hasta obtener la consistencia deseada, usando la barra presionadora para dirigir los ingredientes hacia las cuchillas.

Para un sabor más picante, deje el chile jalapeño con todo y semillas.

One tip: You can substitute pineapple for the mango, or add half & half. Papaya is also really good. Instead of cilantro, try fresh mint. Oh, my goodness...that adds a real punch of flavor. One last thing, some chopped red bell pepper. Not only adds a crispy bite but adds color!

It was much better than a store bought version I have tried. The freshness of the ingredients shines through!

I followed the instructions and the mango was not chunky at all but was smooth, probably because the mango was very ripe and soft. I used it as a topping on fish tacos and it was sooooo good! Any dish that could do with a sweet sauce or salsa on it would be superb with this! It's a keeper!
