The Vitamix S50: Versatility to Create Every Meal of the Day

Now Personal Blender Offers Convenience with Two Pre-Programmed Settings

CLEVELAND—Vitamix® presents the S50, a powerful, personal-size blender featuring two pre-programmed settings and an automatic shut-off feature to take the guesswork out of blending. One of the latest additions to the S-Series combines the high-performance engineering of every Vitamix machine with the convenience of a personal blender. It is versatile enough to create every meal of the day, yet small enough to accompany you anywhere.

Housed in a single dial, two pre-programmed options for Smoothies and Power Blends, a Variable Speed Control and a Pulse function provide the ability to easily create a variety of textures. The Smoothies program quickly blends delicate fruits and vegetables into a creamy beverage, while the Power Blends program is designed to process especially tough ingredients such as leafy greens, frozen fruits and crunchy vegetables. Both programs are specifically formatted to deliver optimal processing times. To use, simply select a setting and press the center of the dial to start—the S50 will do the rest.

Designed to perform like no other, the S50 comes with two unique, shatter-resistant, BPA-free containers. The portable, 20-ounce container quickly blends individual servings and becomes an instant travel cup—perfect for most cup holders—with a flip-top lid. Its double-insulated material helps maintain temperatures while on the go. The 40-ounce container offers fast processing and a mess-free pour when blending small batches of soups, sauces, frozen desserts and more. With two container options, consumers can effortlessly create recipes for every meal of the day.

The S50 boasts an impressive motor, metal drive system and signature laser-cut, stainless-steel blades—a staple of Vitamix machines. The result is a smoother blend, even with tough whole-food ingredients.

A safety interlocking system ensures the container is securely in place before starting the machine. The interchangeable blade base attaches easily to both containers and makes it safe and easy to extract thicker creations. For added convenience, the S50 containers, as well as the blade base and tamper, are top rack dishwasher-safe.

“The S-series from Vitamix is redefining personal blending by offering superior versatility, convenience and high performance in a smaller size,” said Karen Haefling, vice president of marketing, Vitamix. “Whether you’re at home or on the go, the S50 makes it incredibly easy to achieve a perfect blend. The machine can even travel to the office, the gym, on vacations or business trips.”

The S50 has a suggested retail price of $419 and comes with a full five-year warranty. Also included is the Personal Blending cookbook, which conveniently displays icons explaining the recommended container and appropriate program for each recipe. The S50 is currently available in black and red finishes at retailers nationwide and
