Great Recipe
One needs further guidance information on whether to store in fridge and for how long it will last.

No luck with sunflower butter
I just tried making sunflower butter in my Vitamix; it never came together. I used 1# of raw unsalted sunflower seeds and about 3 to 4 T. of sunflower oil. I followed the directions for peanut butter that are in the book that came with the machine. The blade spun around at first, but then a gap by the blade was created, so I tamped it down. The blade spun a bit then the motor stopped; it overheated. I ended up making it in my food processor. I’d really like to know how I can make it in my Vitamix. Should I have used roasted sunflower seeds? Thank you.

Looks easy, but I was looking for no added oil.
I've bought raw almonds and want to make almond butter from it. Is there a reason to use separate oil?

Easy and Tasty!
This recipe is easy and tasty! I substituted vegetable oil for the sunflower seed oil (because I didn't have it). The flavour is certainly nutty without the nuts! The consistency is thinner than natural almond butters/peanut butters as an FYI, but I like it! Will definitely make again.
