Walnut Biscuits with Cinnamon Sugar
There’s nothing like the smell of fresh biscuits. Add cinnamon sugar icing and you have a kid-approved breakfast in no time.
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (120 g) walnuts
- 1 egg egg
- ¼ cup (25 g) powdered sugar
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (225 g) butter
- golden caster sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 355°F (180°C). Grease and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Place butter, vanilla and powdered sugar into the Vitamix Container and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 4. Blend for 10-15 seconds or until micture has creamed.
- Add egg to the Vitamix Container and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 4. Blend for 10 seconds.
- Place walnuts and flour into the Vitamix Container and secure lid.
- Select High.
- Turn machine on and off 8 to 10 times to pulse until flour is moistened. Use the tamper to press ingredients into the blades if needed.
- Divide mixture into 16 balls.
- Place onto baking sheets and flatten slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. While warm, roll biscuits in mixture to coat. Plae onto a cooling tray and allow to cool.
- Store in an air-tight container.

Recipe incomplete
The list of ingredients includes only: sugar and cinnamon.
But the directions indicate to also add butter, vanilla, egg, walnuts, flour.
Would like to try it - sounds delicious - but don't know the quantities of the other ingredients.
