Hit or missWe got out Vitamix S30 a few months ago and generally have been happy. We have 2 of the travel containers and one is great and the other is awful! The double insulation has let in moisture in one of them and we can't seem to get the moisture out, and it's developing a mildewy smell (EW!) Contacting Customer Service to get a replacement, but our other one hasn't had the same issues. Weird!
Separately, the mugs are HUGE, and therefore don't fit in our cupholder easily. We also have wide straws that we used with our previous travel containers but they fall in to this jar when I put the lids on. I end up having to use without the lids if I want to use the straws, which is annoying.
As others have noted, the lids are super hard to get off.

Blend and Go!I've been blending my morning green smoothie every morning for several months now using this container. Love that I can blend and go. I've had no problems with leaks. On the down side - it is bulky but I'm sure the double sided insulation is needed to keep drinks cold. The lid has too many nooks that make it not so easy to clean. The sipper opening on the lid is really tight and difficult to open. However, I'd rather deal with that than have leaks as others have complained about. People have remarked that the cup is huge but I don't think it's too big for blending a smoothie and using for other blending. Overall I'm happy.

Really great designI have been using my vitamix S 30 for about 5 months now, usually twice daily. I have been using these 20 ounce cups every day for smoothies, and I really think it's a great product. The way that the cup is shaped is designed to assist gravity in making sure all your ingredients stay at the bottom of the cup. I fill the cup with frozen ingredients, greens, and sometimes even dry oats, and my smoothies always come out really well blended, and anything stuck on the sides slides down and mixes. I do sometimes have to give the cup a good shake before blending because the frozen fruit likes to freeze to the cup with almond milk, but this is nothing to do with the cup. The plastic feels substantial and good quality, and cleans easily. They rinse well, and also clean nicely in the dishwasher. I have used lower quality personal blending cups (and blenders), and the thought that went into this design is really evident with consistent, daily use..

I'm sure its great for the S series but too bulkyTwo of these came as a "gift" when we purchased our Vitamix 7500. We were excited about it until we took them out of the box. They are SO bulky, slippery, and heavy. It seemed like such a poor design until I came on the Vitamix website and read that they are actually made as personal mixing containers for the S series. This feature makes more sense but as a regular "to go" mug they are just not practical. The only use we will get out of these is for storing leftover liquids.

It is difficult to open the topI got two 20 oz container cups with my Vitamix 7500. The other day -after cleaning under the rubber ring- it leaked in my bag and ruined my documents and a book. I will save money to replace them with the flip top beverage bottles.

Leaks in use and lid difficult to get offI bought this a few weeks ago. I had returned a previous. Same issues.
Use with S30. Useless to blend as it leaks to the blender base whatever you do.
You can't get a full cup blend, even if you start with full cup.
The lid is a struggle to remove.
Double walled with 'ridges' inside, do you have to be careful to clean around the rides inside I'm case of food being stick.
The base is tapering narrow so difficult to reach down to clean.
All in all, bad design.I now only use the S30 jug assembly to blend , and transfer to another container if I need portability rather than this .

Convenient! It does what it is supposed to do. These are a super-convenient way to make a single drink to go. I can put my fixings in it, put the lid on, keep it in the fridge, blend right before I walk out the door and not have to clean the Vitamix, and then the cup actually fits in my truck's cup holder. I wipe the threads before I screw the top down and I keep them upright like a coffee cup, I don't toss them around but I have never had a leak. When I get home I fill the cup (through the drinking hole) about halfway with water and a squirt of soap then close the lid again and shake it until the sided look pretty clean, then I open it and brush the inside with a brush and rinse. I run them through the dishwasher less often, they fit in the top rack angled toward the sidewall.
