Banana Pineapple Freeze
Coconut, banana, and pineapple give this refreshing frozen dessert a taste of the islands—no matter where you are. Just close your eyes, take a sip, and you’ll never know the difference!
Ingredients
- ½ cup (120 ml) coconut water
- 2 slices (165 g) pineapple, peeled
- 4 (30 g) pitted dates, or honey, to taste
- 2 (240 g) frozen bananas, peeled, halved
- 3 cups (390 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
- In about 30-60 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur. Serve immediately.
Notes
Optimal temperature for frozen ingredients is 20 to 25 degrees Fahrenheit. If mixture has the consistency of a milkshake, firm it up by slowly adding a cup of ice cubes. Process until smooth.

Yummy pineapple dessert
I recently bought a Vitamix because of a recommendation from my life coach. I decided on a whole food plant-based lifestyle going forward. Tonight I made this pineapple freeze and it was delicious! I made it exactly the way the recipe called for, and it came out perfect! I did not have any agave nectar so, unfortunately, I had to use an artificial sweetener which I know is terrible, but it’s all I had on hand. I’ll definitely be making this again.

Not Sweet !
Used the exact measures, but it was not sweet enough. It felt like too much ice.
I used my 64 ounce classic container where as the recipe is for the low profile one. So I blame it on me for not getting a real frozen product at the end. Not sure why Vitamix does not list a recipe for Classic container. Probably because I used the classic container, the top portion just stayed as liquid, and probably the bottom portion was frozen, I could make out the change of sound that they talked about. Because of which I did the frozen dessert run once again which even melted the bottom portion I believe. I will try again, this time with lesser ice( I will do the best guess for my classic container) !

Yum-my!
I've had my Vitamix for years and wantwd to make something else other than 1000+ smoothies.
I already had frozen bananas and frozen pineapple in the freezer. I added agave and coconut creme - no ice- and blended ot for one minute. Creamy perfection!
