Tahini has many uses in the kitchen. It's great spread over warm toast, on crackers or on sandwiches.
- 4¼ cup (600 g) sesame seeds
- Place sesame seeds into the Vitamix container and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smooth, using the tamper to press ingredients into the blades.
Toasting raw sesame seeds gives the tahini a more intense flavor. If toasting, bake at 350°F (180°C) for 8 minutes, or until light brown.
