Tahini has many uses in the kitchen. It's great spread over warm toast, on crackers or on sandwiches.


  • 5 cups (705 g) sesame seeds, toasted


  1. Place sesame seeds into the Vitamix container and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
  3. Blend for 2 to 3 minutes, using the tamper as necessary to press ingredients toward the blades.

Chef's Notes

Using toasted sesame seeds for this recipe is not required, however, using toasted seeds helps to create a more uniform and smooth texture rather than a thicker paste. Be sure to blend this tahini on your blender's highest speed, as this allows the fan to cool the motor properly and the blades to process your mixture to optimum quality.
