Blueberry Maple Syrup

Blueberry Maple Syrup

This fruit syrup blends fresh blueberries, maple syrup, and bright lemon zest into a smooth, pourable topping. Naturally sweet with balanced acidity, it adds vibrant flavor and color to pancakes, waffles, yogurt, or desserts.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place ingredients in a deep saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring constantly until berries have begun to burst. Turn off the heat.
  2. Take the pan off the heat. Carefully submerge the immersion blender below the surface of the liquid.
  3. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Move the immersion blender around, including up and down, to blend the ingredients for approximately 60 seconds or until desired consistency is achieved.
  4. Serve warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 6 months.

Notes

Frozen blueberries can be substituted for fresh blueberries, it will just take a bit longer for the berries to cook down. Try this syrup with our Waffles and fresh Whipped Cream for a real breakfast treat.
