Pomegranate Beet Smoothie
Pomegranate and beets are showcased in this smoothie, which also includes nutritious spinach and parsley.
Ingredients
- ½ cup (120 ml) pomegranate juice
- 1 large (150 g) orange, peeled
- ½ large lemon, peeled
- ¼ medium (35 g) beets, washed
- 1 bunch (50 g) Italian flat leaf parsley
- 2 cups (60 g) fresh spinach
- 1 piece (5 g) fresh ginger root
- 1 cups (195 g) ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
Notes
The Vitamix machine will intensify flavor with it blending capabilities; the little bit of ginger will have a huge impact on the freshness of this smoothie.
