Worth every penny!
We just got this model after much debate over the value of the purchase vs other blenders. The Vitamix is leaps and bounds above anything else out there for home use. We love how smooth everything comes out, and how quickly it blends everything. Easy to clean and very simple to use. Highly recommend! Also, Vitamix customer service, while sometimes a lengthy wait on hold, is very helpful if you need to use them.

How much is your health worth?
I originally bought the Vitamix's primary competitor at Costco because...it was on sale. I got what I paid for. It was twice as noisy with less than satisfactory results. It left chunks of dates on the pre-programmed smoothie setting. Dates... A premium blender should never have trouble blending those. Everything I saw about the Vitamix 6500 said "BUY ME!" Granted, the cost was a good bit more, but well worth it. Hit the smoothie button, tamp a little to get the frozen stuff moving and out came perfection.
Everything about this blender speaks of quality. The base is hefty, as are the containers. Four blades ensure premium efficiency. On 10, it's half as quite as the leading competitor. Now, all I have to do is put the dry grains container to use. I see a much healthier me in the very near future. Vitamix rocks!

Thanks hubby and Costco "spoiled wife "
Love it I'm enjoying every time I use it very surprised my hubby paid this much but I can tell he loves it to always saying babe can you make me a smoothie and even more that we can't even taste the spinach that was my favorite since I am not a spinach person can't wait to start making juices And smoothies for family and friends. Oh and he also bought me the perfect blend smart scale Highly recommended

I admit, I was one of those ppl who said: No way would I ever pay such a price for a 'blender'...Well, this ain't no blender, folks. It's an apparatus for a better life. Period. Too many things to say about it. It's just the BOMB!

Great Machine
I work as a professional chef and have used a few types of blenders at my job. By far the Vitamix has always been my favorite and I have known for some time that I wanted one for my dream kitchen. The rep at Costco was demoing the 6500 and once I saw the pre-programmed choices for smoothies, desserts, and soups I was very excited. I love being able to put everything in the blender, push a button, and walk away while the blender does all the work. This will also save me considerable time pureeing fruits for my country wines come summer time and I can see myself using this machine for a variety of applications. It is so easy to clean as long as you clean it and rinse it out right after you are done and don't let it sit too long. The blender does make some noise when chopping up ice and frozen fruits but noting compared to other blenders I have seen. If you want a versatile kitchen tool that will last a lifetime be sure to consider this Vitamix.

Best blender that we have evewr seen
Bought ours yesterday at Costco, made hot Tortilla soup for lunch today.. Amazing how hot it got that soup in such a short time.. Then after cleaning it we made Chocolate ice cream.. It was excellent

My honey surprised me with this wonderful blender for our Anniversary gift. After spending about an hour with the Vitamix Rep at Costco sampling everything I told her that I would add it to my Christmas List for Santa to get. Little did I know Christmas would come early.
Everything the Rep made was delicious and fast!! From the Smoothie to the Tortilla Soup and Sorbet...I was just blown away at what this blender could do. I love that it has the pre-set features for Soup / Smoothie / Frozen Desserts. All I have to do is drop in the ingredients and let magic happen. So far we have mad 2 smoothies and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. The texture of the smoothies are what I have been trying to accomplish for the last 4+ years. Always wondered how Jamba Juice got their Smoothies to be soooo smooth in texture LOL. I am in love with this blender and look forward to using it for for any AND everything! I highly recommend the Vitamix blenders especially the 6500 Series.

I do not have a personal review from use yet as I JUST bought it today HOWEVER,I was VERY impressed with the machine being demonstrated at a local store. WOW, the things this lady put this amazing machine through was fantastic! She made SOUP and ICECREAM both in under 7 minutes from the SAME machine! The sealed unit was drip proof so I can be sloppy (just don't dunk the machine under water). Bought it based on the demonstration! We cant wait to get started on eating right and healthier! Thanks Vita-Mix Corp!
