- 1 Tablespoons honey [or maple syrup], optional
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Dips & Spreads Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 60 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
- Transfer chia jam to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Notes
If fresh, in-season raspberries are not available, frozen-thawed work beautifully in this recipe. Color and flavor variation may occur, especially with fresh fruit. Adjust sweetness & acidity with more/less honey and lemon juice. The shelf life of this fresh chia jam is short because it is made from natural ingredients, without the refined sugar and preservatives present in most commercial and traditional jams. Try substituting raspberries for your favorite berries or a mix! Raspberry Chia Jam is a simple, nutrient-rich spread made with raspberries, chia seeds, lemon juice, and a touch of honey. Packed with antioxidants, fiber, and omega-3s, it offers natural sweetness without refined sugar. You can easily tailor the sweetness by adjusting the amount of honey to suit your taste.
