Blending Cup Starter Kit is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 322.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Blending Cups and Jars I've been waiting for these jars and cups to come out for use with my Ascent Series blender. They are a great addition to the blender. I ordered both at the same time. I use the jars to puree ginger, and the cups are perfect for smoothies. My son recently got his wisdom teeth out and so I'd have smoothies all prepped for him, he'd just take them out of the fridge, put them on the blender, hit smoothie and exchange the blades for the lid...super easy. My only issue is that you cannot (as of yet) get the jars or cups without having to buy another base. I would have been fine with just one base...after all, you can only blend one thing at a time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Ascent 2500; Question About Accessories My A2500 is one of the best kitchen purchases I have ever made! So happy that I did thorough research and decided on the gold standard Vitamix over lesser brands. I'm proud to be a native of Cleveland, home of Vitamix! Here's my question about the accessories: Does the same adapter base work for both the 20 oz containers and the 8 oz blender cups? If so, wouldn't it be nice to offer a starter kit with one of each instead of two of the same size? Also, will the Vitamix site offer the cups as separate purchases for people who already have the adapter base? I noticed that Williams Sonoma sells the containers separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tired of unrelated, regative reviews I am looking forward to pair these single serve cups with my new ascent blender. As with all the vitamix products I ever purshased and received as gifts, I am sure the perfomance will be outstanding. These dishwasher safe cups will definitely make my morning smoothie routine a lot more convenient. Also, unrelated, negative reviews related to people unhappy about the blending cups not accommodating their older blenders are simply beyond me. How can you expect vitamix to innovate and dominate the market while keeping the same mechanics and form over the years? The ascent series is quite an improvement in comparison to the past vitamix blenders I've owned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ok As a single person, I'm actually so sorry I purchased all these massively expensive products. I first got the Vitamix Ascent blender, then knew right off that the container it came with was WAY too big for most of my daily needs, so I waited and waited and waited for these and the blending blows to become available, finally ended up buying them elsewhere and, I have to say, they do not work anywhere near as well as the bullet-type, much less expensive blender I always had! And they don't accommodate as much! Does it work, yes, it works...but I'm not impressed. Definitely having buyers remorse!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ascent blending cups - Not worth it. I bought the Ascent series because I wanted the blending cups also. Unfortunately the blending cups are so new that weren't any reviews yet. I am incredibly disappointed in them. Basically, it just doesn't blend well at all. I put the ingredients in the order they suggest, but the protein powder just doesn't get mixed. It ends up being a lump of yuck at the bottom - even when I blend it again. Even the fruit wasn't blended. I tried making a simple milk shake with chocolate syrup and even that didn't blend well. It definitely isn't worth the money, for any amount.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I use the blending cups with the Ascent 3500. I am happy with the Ascent 3500, however, the coordinating Blending cups are beyond disappointing. The narrow cup bottom does not allow the fruit to drop to the blades. Many times there are frozen chunks, bits, etc, left in the mixture. There is a lot of STOPPING, SHAKING and TAPPING during the blending cycle. REPEATING the smoothie cycle is usually necessary. When the blending is finished, the smoothie is less than cold and the cup is inches from being full. The Ascent does 'auto detect' the blending cups, however, when I switch back to the blender, the unit needs to be switched off then on to 'reset'. On the blending cup, The metal gear that spins the blade gets very hot even after one cycle. It is my feeling the Blending cups should be redesigned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Bought the 20 oz blending cups when they were first available. Often I get a error message on the Ascent 3500 Vitamix & it will not blend at all & that happens even when the arrows are lined up. Lining up the arrows is challenging, I keep other Vitamix containers at least 3' away from the Vitamix blender because the magnetic components can interfere with the different blending containers. 9 times out of 10 when the cup is set in place to blend an error message prohibits the blending. Very difficult to unscreww the blades also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought an Ascent series blender when they came out and have been happy. So I was expecting the same quality from the 20oz blender cups. I have been disappointed. They just don't blend well. I'm not sure if its the shape of the cup or the blade or a combination but things just don't seem to fall down to the blade and, even with a lot of attempts to help it along during the process, sometimes things aren't smooth. These cups were not cheap and they should work perfectly.
