Hot Chai Latte

This spiced tea beverage is light, foamed, and created with only three simple ingredients.

  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) skim milk, warm, about 160 degrees F/ 70 degrees C
  • 1 ¼ cups (300 ml) brewed chai tea
  • 2 pinches (2 pinches) ground cinnamon
  • Sweetener (optional)


  1. Place warm milk into the Vitamix container and secure the lid.
  2. Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, slowly increase to Variable 6 and blend for 45 seconds. (If making a half recipe for a single serving, reduce the blending time to 30 seconds.)
  3. Stop the machine and remove the lid. Add chai tea and cinnamon, and secure the lid. Select Variable 5 and Pulse 3 to 5 times to incorporate.
  4. Sweeten if desired.

Chef's Notes

  • It's best to heat the milk either in the microwave or on the stove top until it reaches a slow simmer. Recipe makes about 3 1/2 cups (840) warm skim milk foam.
