Chef's Notes

  • Cool down on a hot summer day with this refreshing whole food DIY slushy treat. We like the addition of honey in this recipe as it is a natural sweetener, and more easily allows us to keep the peel on the apple and use tart fruits that can be enjoyed in a delicious, flavorful blend.Coconut water, a favorite liquid to use as it lacks the high sugar content of fruit juices that are often used in beverages, leads in this recipe as a primary ingredient.
