Tahini [Mini-Chopper Attachment] [Immersion Blender]

Tahini can be expensive in stores, however sesame seeds can be purchased much cheaper and used to make a delicious, nutty tahini for any recipe at home.


  • ¾ cup (90 g) sesame seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil


  1. Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add sesame seeds to the pan and toast until lightly golden brown, shaking and stirring often to ensure even browning.
  2. Place the ingredients into the work bowl of the Immersion Blender Mini - Chopper Attachment.  Snap the lid into place and secure the immersion motor to the lid
  3. Select Variable 5 and run continuously for 60 seconds. Stop, remove lid and scrape down the sides of the work bowl. Secure lid and run on Variable 5 for an additional 60 seconds.

Chef's Notes

  • Add some heat by using a spicy sesame oil or adding a few bird's eye chilis.We have added oil to this recipe to help the processing, substitute with water or another liquid if needed.
